No one remembers a name like “Michael Bauer.” So his stage name on social media had to be catchy, and that’s how he came up with “Heidelbeerhugo”—the name under which Michael has been delighting nearly 100,000 followers on Instagram and TikTok since 2022. But people still call him whatever they want—Ribiseldjango, for example—and Michael goes along with it all. Because Hollunderheinzi and his audience have so much fun together, even in person, he’s now presenting his second cabaret solo and asking himself: Do things really get better just because you keep doing them over and over? How many times has he walked past his nightstand barefoot, and yet his little toe still regularly gives the wood veneer a little “hello” kiss? Do you have to try everything?
