When I ask people who’ve been together for decades and should know better, they often say, “Ask my wife!” But that’s not a stock phrase—it’s an excuse. What do we tell our children and grandchildren when they ask? Are relationships and love the same thing? Is love absolutely necessary for a relationship, or can it work without it? Does love automatically have to turn into a relationship? In our Love Matinee, I’ll explore this phenomenon using stories from the audience—please help me out! We might not come up with the ultimate explanation just yet, but trying is always entertaining! I’ll also share my personal experiences and, of course, plenty of love songs.
