Peter Panierer - Streugut - Orpheum Wien - 2026

Orpheum Wien, Wien

In his second show, Peter Panierer takes his audience on a journey through his own turning points—from growing up in a working-class neighborhood to leaving the teaching profession and the pitfalls of his own appearance.
These are stories of deliberate fresh starts and the observations of an adult who is still trying to make sense of life, told with Viennese street wit and a healthy dose of self-deprecating humor.
Whether it’s the fit of laughter that overtakes him—of all times—during a close friend’s wedding ceremony, drunken calls to the police, or the desperate search for a restroom on his first vacation in Greece—Panierer lets the audience share directly in his experiences. He gets worked up about systems and a political establishment that, with astonishing accuracy, manages to get in its own way. But amid all the madness, he also asks what really matters in life—and comes to a simple realization: it’s your own friends who carry you through the most absurd situations and never let you forget them afterward.
“STREUGUT” is comedy straight out of real life and cabaret that loves pace and punchlines—an evening full of stories that linger, partly because they’re sometimes uncomfortably honest—and always with an invitation to recognize yourself in them.
