The grand finale of the 2027 Vienna Cabaret Festival brings together 20 years of stage magic with over 100 years of cabaret history—an evening that uniquely combines the art of magic with the Viennese cabaret tradition.

Tricky Niki has been on stage for 20 years and still isn’t getting any smaller: With “Special Edition,” this limited-edition performer—restricted to one meter seventy—combines all his specialties—magic, ventriloquism, comedy, and improvisation—into a show that’s truly one-of-a-kind worldwide. This time, he specifically plays with the audience’s senses: At first, you can’t believe your eyes; then you think you hear voices; and suddenly, even the impossible feels astonishingly real. Afterward, Bernhard Murg and Stefano Bernardin—two veterans of Kabarett Simpl—take the stage together for the first time: “…until someone cries!” is a journey through time featuring sketches, double-act routines, and monologues from various decades—from the classic Farkas-Waldbrunn double-act routines to the most absurd Niavarani sketches.

Highlights

Popular special guests like Drache Emil and Justin Biber are just as much a part of Tricky Niki’s show as an inflated, sometimes quite chatty balloon—and Luigi is once again making a fool of himself. The audience also plays an active role this evening, as the charming and cheeky multi-talent loves to interactively bring his audience members into the spotlight. Murg and Bernardin, in turn, bring the best of Kabarett Simpl’s history to the stage—from Hugo Wiener’s over 100-year-old sketch “Die Lefkojen” to brand-new material—a fitting conclusion to the 2027 Vienna Cabaret Festival.
