Info

Holli, whose real name is Tobias, earned the nickname Holli during his civilian service at a retirement home because of his supposedly Dutch appearance. Unafraid of emotional vulnerability, he writes and sings about himself, about situations, problems, and states of mind that others might prefer to conceal behind a layer of ironic distance. Rather than offering intrusive life lessons, moral snap judgments, or categorical bleakness, the Linz-born musician presents biographical snapshots. These are brought to life sometimes through minimal acoustic arrangements in the singer-songwriter tradition, and at other times through distorted guitar noise, powerful brass sections, and richly layered synthesizers.

On Holli's debut album The First Good Day (Der erste gute Tag, Problembär, 2023), anyone who has ever had a bad day can find something to relate to. The album explores growing older, learning from experience, making mistakes, and discovering what can be gained from them. Following the acoustic Toad Metamorphosis EP (Krötenmetamorphose, 2024), Holli takes the next step with the new album 1000 Years of Sleep (1000 Jahre Schlaf, Problembär Records, Autumn 2026). Acoustic guitar and melancholy give way to synthesizers, power chords, and a driving rhythm section. Across eleven songs, Holli sings about love, loneliness, friendship, nostalgia, and hope, as well as the longing for something greater, perhaps something magical, or at least some meaning behind it all. Throughout, Holli remains remarkably composed: a calm and thoughtful narrator in turbulent times.

SUPPORT ACT:

Rebecca Lynn Sprague is an emerging indie-folk musician based in Vienna and originally from Rhode Island. Her music combines clear, expressive vocals with intricate guitar work and minimalist synthesizer textures. Somewhere between traditional North American folk and contemporary experimentation, she creates intimate and distinctive songs.

In 2024, Sprague released the self-produced debut EP body dreams, and has since performed at venues including Chelsea, Arena Wien, and the Blue Bird Festival at Porgy & Bess. She is currently working on her first full-length album, scheduled for release in 2027, while continuing to develop her music live alongside an international band.

Rebecca Lynn Sprague will open the evening as the support act.
