The Hot Pants Road Club will celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2027—and is marking this special occasion with an extraordinary musical performance. Together with
25 musicians under the direction of Matthias Fletzberger, the band is presenting a specially conceived program that deliberately blurs stylistic boundaries.
At the heart of the project is the convergence of two musical worlds that, at first glance, could hardly be more different: the energetic, groove-oriented sound of the Hot Pants Road Club and the sensitive and multifaceted expressiveness of a classical orchestra. For this anniversary, the band’s well-known songs will be performed in new orchestral arrangements, and works composed specifically for this project will celebrate their world premieres.
The result is not a mere juxtaposition but a true fusion: rhythm meets richness of sound, improvisation meets compositional precision, funk meets symphonic grandeur. The outcome is a dynamic interplay that bridges tradition and the present while opening up new sonic perspectives.
