It wasn't that long ago …

there was an emperor. Actually, he was a very kind emperor. But he was also lonely and worried a great deal about many things.

His story is often told. But very few people know the part we’re going to tell you.

The emperor has no heir to the throne. That makes him sad. The deceitful tailor Gerrian takes advantage of this: He gives the emperor a simple white garment and convinces him that it is woven from pure gold. Gerrian hopes that, out of gratitude, the emperor will certainly make him his heir! But in reality, only the very poor people in the country wear white clothes… Then one day, a poor beggar boy arrives in the emperor’s city—his name is Konrad. Konrad is dressed in white, like all the poor people. Gerrian is startled—and the emperor is puzzled… Will he realize that Gerrian has tricked him? And will Konrad find happiness with the Emperor?

We’ll see… In any case, he’ll need the children’s support! So please, all children, come dressed in white to help Konrad!

The play shows children in a heartwarming way how important honesty, courage, and a good heart are, and turns it into a shared theater experience for the whole family. Interactive elements and music included!
