The Sydney Youth Orchestras (SYO) are among Australia’s leading youth cultural organizations. Since their founding in 1973, they have been nurturing and inspiring young musicians at the highest level. Based in Sydney, SYO offers more than 1,300 children and young people aged 6 to 25 a first-class musical education and a wide range of performance opportunities each year in 15 progressive ensembles, complemented by intensive vacation programs, music camps, and international tours.
We are delighted that the Sydney Youth Orchestra will be performing in Vienna as part of its European tour this year and can be experienced in the unique acoustic space of St. Stephen’s Cathedral.
