They’re making their own movie. And it’s offbeat, outrageous, and uninhibited. As always. POLLYWOOD, the new comedy show from the Polly Adler core troupe—Sona MacDonald, Sigrid Hauser, and Angelika Hager—may not offer a happy ending, but it tackles pressing existential questions.

Why do men past middle age send dick pics? Why are Gen Z women suddenly fleeing to total retro idylls and churning their own butter for no good reason? Why are people increasingly pursuing wacky hobbies? And attend seagull-screech contests, ride plush horses, or feel very strongly that they actually belong to the tribe of elves? How do you clear a testicular duct using light energy? And why are even food moths now suffering from ADHD and attachment avoidance?
Perhaps Zoran Stupic, Polly’s plumber of the heart and a sort of Marcus Aurelius of the plumbing world, has the best answer: “Because, Your Grace, right now everything that isn’t normal is considered normal.”
To ease the pain, Sona and Sigrid belt out songs. And at some performances, VIP guests like Caroline Frank and Florian Carove (aka Florence, the divorce orphan from Paris) enrich the troupe as luxury stand-ins.
