Christoph Fälbl & Michelle Härle - Die Tragik mit der Komik - CasaNova Vienna - 2026/27

CasaNova Vienna, Wien

He lost his sense of humor a long time ago. The audience bores him; the stage bores
. He takes them under his wing only reluctantly. What follows is a wild

ride through the world of gags and punchlines.

Amid biting commentary, offbeat lessons, and botched performances,
, fundamental questions about humor are raised: What makes a joke really funny?
Why does a joke work for one person but not for another?

With plenty of heart and a healthy dose of self-deprecating humor, this tragicomic world premiere shows
how closely laughter and failure are linked, and that true comedy requires not only

technique, but also courage, emotion, and honesty.

Produced by the Wald4tler Hoftheater, the play was written by
Viktoria Schubert, who also directs the production.
