Info
Inspired by major Hollywood blockbusters, the new show CINEMA OF DREAMS transports audiences into a world full of emotions, magical imagery, and cinematic moments. Breathtaking figure skating, opulent sets, and an emotionally charged soundtrack come together to create an unforgettable live experience as 37 international figure skaters bring the magic of the big screen to the ice at the Wiener Stadthalle with technical precision, the expressiveness of dance, and acrobatic feats of the highest caliber.
CINEMA OF DREAMS tells the story of three friends, an old movie theater, and the magic of cinema as a place of dreams—and the balancing act between artistic success and personal connection. Scene by scene, a multifaceted cinematic world unfolds, allowing the audience to experience famous film genres live on the ice—from retro and glamour to action and dazzling science fiction.
With CINEMA OF DREAMS, the world’s most successful ice show is writing a new, innovative chapter in live entertainment. Producer Peter O’Keeffe (CEO of Holiday on Ice) has brought together the international who’s who of live entertainment for this latest production. The top-tier creative and production team, led by Kim Gavin (Creative Director for shows by Adele and Robbie Williams), blends sports and spectacle into an atmospheric total work of art. Working alongside him are, among others, choreographer Adam Blake (Frozen, 100 Years of Magic), costume designer Michael Sharp (Jennifer Lopez, Angelina Jolie), set designer Misty Buckley (Emmy Award winner), and lighting designer Tim Routledge (Eurovision Song Contest 2026).
