Alex Kristan - Born to be Child - Wien - 2026 + 2027
With *BORN TO BE CHILD*, Alex Kristan presents not just a cabaret show, but above all a way of life—one that we all too often forget when we’re in “adult mode” because the voice of reason is so loud. The perfect reason for him to continue unwaveringly following his motto: “Being reasonable is like being dead—only sooner.”

Info
With a sharp eye and even sharper wit, he dissects the absurdities of modern adulthood. Men with a “woman complex” and the pack behavior of unsupervised over-50s acting like children. Or the very serious questioning of modern educational approaches: Are children actually allowed to win anymore—or must everyone end up having “succeeded” in losing? Kristan holds up a mirror to a world in which no one is allowed to lose, but everyone is supposed to be a winner. Not to mention the “9/11” of the pension system, also known as “Rentenhausen’s Nightmare”: the longevity hype, which attempts to optimize life rather than simply living it. For him, being an adult doesn’t mean fulfilling expectations and conforming to the spirit of the times, but rather keeping the promises we made to ourselves as children. For Alex Kristan, keeping that child—and with it, the humor, playfulness, and imagination—alive within us is the antidote to life’s seriousness. Alex Kristan and his inner “Rotzpipn” form a dream team that reminds us that none of this is a dress rehearsal—it’s already the main event. Together, they’ll once again have their audience in stitches—with heart, wit, and childlike joy.
