There are simply not enough superlatives to adequately honor Deep Purple 's contribution to rock music. With over 100 million albums sold and decades of sold-out stadium and arena tours around the globe, it's hardly surprising that the band's influence is so highly regarded. In 2008, they were honored with the "Legend Award" at the World Music Awards, followed by induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016. Deep Purple are truly rock royalty - and their reign continues unabated.

With an oeuvre spanning seven decades, Deep Purple have co-founded and shaped the hard rock genre, while always venturing into new musical territories - keeping their sound fresh and always winning new fans, in addition to the legions who have remained loyal to the band since its inception.

The acclaimed MKII line-up of Ian Gillan, Roger Glover, Ian Paice, Jon Lord and Ritchie Blackmore were responsible for many of the defining rock albums of the early 70s, including "Made in Japan", widely regarded as one of the most important and influential live albums of all time.

Known as one of the hardest working bands around, Deep Purple has been continuously releasing number one albums and touring the world with very few breaks since their formation in 1968. In the last ten years alone, the band has recorded over two million album sales and four consecutive number 1 albums in Germany - all with top placings in the European charts - impressively underlining that the British legends are still at the forefront of international rock in the new millennium.

In 2022, the sad news of Steve Morse's departure for personal reasons shook the fan community. Deep Purple then turned to virtuoso guitarist Simon McBride and played out the year with renewed energy and enthusiasm - much to the delight of fans worldwide.

In 2024 , Deep Purple stormed to the top of the charts again: their latest studio album "=1" reached number 1 in three countries. The album is the band's first release with Simon McBride and continues their impressive series of global chart successes - after "Whoosh!" (2020), "inFinite" (2017) and "NOW What?!" (2013).

For the fifth time (including their pandemic cover album "Turning To Crime"), the band worked with legendary producer Bob Ezrin. The album received rave reviews and is said to evoke the classic, groundbreaking Deep Purple sound without relying solely on nostalgia.

The enigmatic title "=1" symbolizes the idea that in an increasingly complex world, everything ultimately condenses into a single, unified being - everything is one. Alongside the release of "=1", the band toured the world again in 2024, driving their ticket sales to over a million since 2022, further cementing their status as one of the most active stadium and arena bands in rock music.

Deep Purple have remained true to their musical roots: From an eclectic mix of diverse styles, they have created a distinctive sound that defines the band today - while establishing a legacy that few other formations could ever match. The band has written and produced so many 'classic', well-known and well-loved songs that their audience spans generations and backgrounds - something Deep Purple are proud to celebrate.

With 2025 already accompanied by rumors of new recordings and more concert announcements worldwide, these storied hard rock heroes show no signs of slowing down. Instead, they continue to push the boundaries of the genre - for fans around the world.
