Smokie is one of the UK’s best-known rock bands and has built an international following with its distinctive sound. The group originally formed in Yorkshire and, after several stylistic changes, evolved into a successful band with a global reach. With the support of the RAK label, they achieved their breakthrough, after which Smokie enjoyed numerous chart placements and international tours.
 

Among the band’s best-known releases are songs such as “If You Think You Know How To Love Me,” “Don’t Play Your Rock ’n’ Roll To Me,” “It’s Your Life,” and “Oh Carol.” These songs played a major role in establishing Smokie as an integral part of the international rock and pop scene. Their success was not limited to the United Kingdom but extended to numerous markets worldwide, including Germany, Scandinavia, South Africa, and China.
 

Musically, Smokie is known for catchy melodies, harmonious soft rock, and a distinctive vocal style.
