PROVINZ is a German indie-pop band from Vogt, near Ravensburg, in Upper Swabia. The band consists of Vincent Waizenegger (vocals, guitar), Moritz Bösing (bass, vocals), Robin Schmid (keyboard, vocals), and Leon Sennewald (drums). The band’s name reflects their origins, which also shape many of their lyrics.

Musically, PROVINZ blends catchy pop melodies with indie, folk, and rock influences. Their songs often deal with friendship, home, feeling lost, new beginnings, love, and growing up. In doing so, the band succeeds in translating personal stories into themes that resonate across generations.

Following initial success in the Bandpool development program at the Popakademie Mannheim, PROVINZ was signed by Warner Music in 2019. With singles like “Neonlicht,” “Was uns high macht,” and “Wenn die Party vorbei ist,” the band quickly established itself as one of the most important new voices in German-language indie pop.

Their debut album “Wir bauten uns Amerika” was released in 2020 and introduced PROVINZ to a wide audience. This was followed by their second album, “Zorn & Liebe” (2022), and “Pazifik” (2025). The band has received numerous awards for their music, including the 1LIVE Krone.
