About the program:
Ding Dong
Eva Karl Faltermeier is known for her sharp wit and her inimitable style with which she delights audiences in Bavaria and throughout Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Liechtenstein.
In her third stage program "Ding Dong", she remains true to her style as she shares her socio-political observations with her audience. The breeding ground for this is often provided by her origins, the tricks that life plays on her - they are ideal for drawing conclusions from the small to the big picture.
Her stage character once again faces the multiple challenges of everyday life between unfulfillable social norms and cultural roots; an emotional mixture that can provoke powerlessness. This powerlessness is the powerlessness of many. And to free herself from this powerlessness, Eva Karl Faltermeier constructs stories with humor. Her great art lies in presenting oddities and serious topics with a twinkle in her eye. Laughter as a coping strategy - about time, disruptions and goals; what you miss, what you have and where you want to go. In the end, what remains is the confidence that everything is somehow possible. Nobody spoke of perfection.
Eva Karl Faltermeier has quickly made a name for herself in the scene in recent years, receiving and presenting awards, attending and hosting television shows. However, the heart of her artistic work continues to be the live evenings when she plays for her audience with her heart and soul. An artist you have to like. At a distance, of course.
"I want people to laugh, think and feel good at the same time," says Eva. "Cabaret is a way for me to reflect on the world and make people smile - also about myself and, above all, about my mistakes."
Women and children first
A sea voyage is funny, a sea voyage is beautiful. Eva Maria Marold has accepted an engagement as a singer on a large cruise ship. Dream job or disaster? The ocean is endless, the cabins are outrageously cramped and the passengers are unbearably human. Fortunately, there are Eva's great musicians (non-swimmers) who support her not only musically but also morally. The mood holds. The weather and the hairstyle too. Until suddenly, in the middle of one of the countless oceans, the ship is in distress. In fast motion, Eva's life passes before
past her mind's eye. What was really important, right, necessary, sensible?
In her new program "Women and Children First", Eva Maria Marold, under the direction of Captain Serge Falck, takes us on a humorous, and at times ironic and sarcastic journey on the cruise ship "Costa Dekadenzia". The air on the high seas is rough. Sometimes so is the tone. And the difference between "sinGen" and "sinKen" is small, but very significant.
