SIMPLY QUARTET

The aspiring Simply Quartet is hailed as one of the most promising string quartets of the new generation. Having received numerous international awards, the young ensemble is making its way into the classical music scene. Founded in Shanghai in 2008 under the patronage of Professor Jensen Horn-Sin Lam, the quartet, originally consisting exclusively of Chinese members, gained a foothold in Vienna. Danfeng Shen and Xiang Lu form an international constellation with the Norwegian cellist Ivan Valentin Hollup Roald and the Austrian violinist Antonia Rankersberger.

Igudesman & Joo - A LITTLE NIGHTMARE MUSIC

Violinist Aleksey Igudesman and pianist Hyung-Ki Joo are the wildly inventive comedy team whose YouTube sketches and musical mash ups have attracted close to 40 million viewers. Seriously talented musicians with the wit, sensibilities and improvisational bent that bring to mind Monty Python, “South Park,” “SNL,” and “Portlandia,” Igudesman & Joo hilariously waltz their way from Mozart to martial arts, Haydn to hip hop. 

Head of Young Artist Programme, Brendan Goh, shares the stage with the celebrated duo as a guest artist.

Rumba for Amadeus - FESTIVAL-FINALE À LA JANOSKA
